Can anyone help me set up a WEP key for my router?

I currently have it open, but i want to add a key. I get to a screen where it says network autentification type and there is a drop down with many choices. which one do i choose??? i clicked shared and set up a pword, but my wireless still says its unsecured. can anyone help me out, thanks
