Positive for H Pylori//Help!!?

I was tested positive for H Pylori today...Has anyone out there had this and gotten rid of it ? I have bad heartburn problems for years and its just gotten worse recently....Has anyone else had this problem? Was the antibody treatment helpful? Ive read alota bad stuff about even after u get rid of H Pylori u can get cancer / parkinsons etc ...Any Advice PLEASE!!!! Thanks
