Am I Love Sick?

I like a guy named Chris (he's about 17) and he's goth. I'm 15 years old and I found that I am attracted to goth/emo guys. I've known this guy since I was 9 years old and he walks around the city I live in. He's got some pretty long hair (I mean it's at his waist) and I haven't really talked to him. He hangs out with people that would say 'Eff you!' just for saying hi. I need a way to either talk to him or forget about him. I'm worried that I may just be love sick because I haven't had a bf in a while...I was shopping the other day and I saw this emo guy and I thought 'He's so hot' and he was. I was so close to asking him for his number.
