Should i give him another chance?

We went out for about 5 weeks and then he dumped me and was dating someone else in less than 45 minutes. He went out with several girls after me, all the while telling me that he regretted breaking us off and wanted to get back together, Now that we are out for summer, we have hung out, and he certainly acts like he wants me back. Half my friends tell me to give him another chance and the other half tell me to forget about him. I just really miss having someone make me feel special, and he made me feel like we were the only two people in the world. That sounded totally sappy, but im serious. I just need some other people's feedback, since they dont know either of us personally. Any advice?
